Table of 8 gatherings are an amazing opportunity for people to meet friends, share a meal and build relationships. The opportunity to enjoy an evening out, dress up and enjoy a sumptuous three course meal is not just a great way to spend an evening but also builds social skills, dining etiquette and mixing with new people. These fun evenings positively promote the friendships and relationships of the people who attend within their local community.

Table of 8 is a regular event at Conie Avenue Baulkham Hills and  Opal Cottage, Richmond. It is a fun and safe way to meet new people, and catch up with old mates. As the name suggests dinner guests are seated eight people to a table, allowing the opportunity to chat with others at the table. Our friendly team are available to help introduce people to each other and we have found conversation and enjoyment just flows once people settle into the evening.

A delicious three course meal is provided, and we are happy to meet all dietary requirements if informed prior to the evening. A non-alcoholic mock tail is served upon arrival. You will enjoy a wide variety of dishes prepared freshly in our kitchens by our amazing volunteers.

There is always time for dancing between courses, or moving around to other tables to meet people. There is a different theme planned for each month, please see our Website for dates and themes and the booking opportunity. Whilst there is always background music playing we often have live music and entertainers. We also vary the evenings with fun quizzes, guest speakers and occasionally we head out for a dinner under the stars at Richmond at the beautiful ‘Secret Garden’!!

Our popular Christmas in July, Halloween and Christmas evenings allow opportunity for people to come along in fancy dress.

Opal Table of Eight Dinner Party dates for 2017 

The charge is $25 to attend though this may vary from time to time. Bookings and payment prior to the evening is essential and may be paid directly at a NWDS facility or by direct deposit into the NWDS account. We ask that you bring a carer with you for the first experience. Our Team will let you know if your carer does not need to continue to attend with you for future evenings.

Table of 8 evenings start at 6pm and finish at 8.30pm. Drop off and pick up is right at our front door. Your carer can drop you off or you may choose to catch a taxi or bus, we will ensure everyone is ready to departs safely at 8.30pm
