Community Participation Program
Community Participation Program assists young people with moderate to high support needs who require an alternative to paid employment or further education.
Community Participation Objectives:
- Maintain and develop life skills and increase independence
- Continue learning and participate in meaningful activities
- Participate in their local community
- Have an active and valued role in their community
- To support young people with their transition from school to adulthood
- Expand friendships and networks
- Supported to make the transition from school to young adult life
- Learn and appreciate different cultural communities
Eligibility:
Applicants should be:
School leavers,
People that live within the Baulkham Hills Shire Council or Hawkesbury Council
Have been approved for funding under Community Participation from ADHC
Funding:
ADHC funded program that allows school leavers support in transitioning into adulthood. It is designed for those people who do not have the ability to move onto further studies or full time employment.
This program is offered 9.00am – 3.00pm Monday to Friday at either Baulkham Hills or Richmond. Additional Hours are available on an individual fee paying basis.
Person Centred Approach:
Each individual Community Participation Program has their own ‘Person Centered Plan’ which identifies goals and strategies how they will be achieved.

Healthy Cooking lunch team
This program is offered 9.00am – 3.00pm Monday to Friday at either
Baulkham Hills or Richmond (and external venues such as TAFE or work
experience sites). Additional Hours are available on an individual fee
paying basis.
