Volunteering
NWDS greatly appreciates the contributions made by individuals who
donate their time to enrich the social life of individuals accessing the
service. The need for volunteers is great and we encourage all members
of the community to join us in providing a quality service. Volunteers
can assist in many ways at varied times. All volunteers are offered a
training course and opportunities for ongoing skill development.
Individuals are welcome to join our voluntary, community based Board of
Directors or the various sub-committees that operate to enhance
services. Volunteers can also assist with admin duties and support
programs in activities, outings and short holidays.
What can I do?
Whatever your special skill or interest area, we have a place for
you, we are very flexible with days and times to suit your and our
needs.

Who Can Volunteer?
If you are retired, a tertiary student, looking to return to the
workforce or someone who would like to give back to the community we
would be very interested in having a talk with you about this
opportunity.
No experience is required & full training and support is provided by our organisation.

NWDS responds to the needs of the community, and where possible shall
work in partnership, or independently, to provide innovative and
flexible services to meet the community needs.
NWDS is funded by the Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care.
NWDS also receives invaluable assistance and support from the Baulkham
Hills Shire Council, Hawkesbury Shire Council and local Rotary and
Lion’s Clubs.
